Hide, rename, reorder and make optional WooCommerce checkout fields, and skip the address for digital products.

== Description ==

Every extra field at checkout is a reason to leave. Selling digital products? You probably don't need a shipping address, company name or phone number. Fusion64 Checkout Field Manager lets you remove or simplify the default fields without writing code.

**Features**

* No address for digital products: when the cart only has virtual products, checkout asks for just name, email and country
* Show or hide any default billing or shipping field (email and country always stay)
* Make fields required or optional (name, company, phone)
* Rename labels and change placeholders
* Reorder fields
* Changes apply to the classic checkout and to the My Account address forms
* Lightweight: no extra scripts on the front end
* Compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)

**Checkout block:** the WooCommerce Checkout block has its own field settings (open the checkout page in the editor and select the block). This plugin changes the classic `[woocommerce_checkout]` checkout. The settings page tells you which one your store uses.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install it from the Plugins screen.
2. Activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be active.
3. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout Fields.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Why can't I change the label of the State or Postcode field? =

WooCommerce changes those labels and whether they're required for each country, for example "ZIP Code" in the US and "Postcode" in the UK. To keep addresses valid, the plugin only lets you show/hide and reorder those fields.

= How does "no address for digital products" work? =

Tick "Don't ask for an address when the cart only has virtual products" under WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout Fields. If every product in the cart is marked Virtual, checkout only asks for first name, last name, email and country. Country stays because WooCommerce uses it to calculate tax. If the cart has any physical product, the normal fields show. Developers can change which fields stay with the `f64cfm_virtual_keep_fields` filter.

= Will hiding a field remove data from old orders? =

No. Existing orders keep all their data. Hidden fields are just not asked for on new orders.
